Ad Blue - Clean advantage
Clean Fleet - Clean Advantage
"The balance of our earth and its preservation for future generations must be our primary concern. We want to hand over an intact environment to future generations."
- Director Dr. Christoph Maier
That's why we are now a proud partner of Clean Advantage™. For every liter of fuel, we calculate the equivalent value of CO2 emissions. Clean Advantage invests this value in projects that ensure a better climate.
Climate protection is close to our hearts.
Over the past 100 years, researchers have measured an increase in the global average temperature of approximately 0.8°C. By 2100, climate change is expected to cause an increase of up to 6.5°C if nothing is done to stop it. Even as little as 2°C will have serious effects.
Nothing new! But now, the earth has to deal with man-made global warming. This is causing a rapid increase, which has catastrophic consequences for the environment, animals and people.
We want and need to protect our climate. For this reason, we are a proud partner of Clean Advantage™ and have received a certificate again this year. For every liter of fuel we consume, for example by transporting your favorite laundry to you, we calculate the equivalent value of CO2 - emissions. Clean Advantage invests this value in projects that promote a better climate. The shipment of your order to your home is additionally offset by our climate-neutral shipping with DHL GoGreen.
Sustainability is a priority at Comazo.
In order to keep CO2 emissions as low as possible from the beginning, we use as much natural materials as possible and rely, among other things, on production in Europe and thus short transport distances. However, despite the environmentally conscious choice of materials for our textiles and production partners, the production process releases unavoidable greenhouse gases, which we are unfortunately unable to avoid that easily. For this reason, we provide compensation through our partner Clean AdvantageTM and support various climate protection projects.

BSCI
Business Social Compliance Initiative
BSCI stands for "Business Social Compliance Initiative" and is an organization that develops common, European codes of conduct and monitoring systems for social standards. The Code is intended to ensure the protection of employee rights.
Membership is voluntary, but companies can demonstrate that they and their suppliers respect and comply with social and ethical standards. What is taken for granted in Germany is still uncharted territory for some countries, and so, the code of conduct is based on 13 elements: Management Practices, Documentation, Working Hours, Compensation, Child and Forced Labor, Freedom of Association, Discrimination, Working Conditions, Health and Welfare Facilities, Occupational Safety, and Environmental Protection.
Independent certification bodies regularly verify self-imposed compliance with BSCI standards.

DHL - Go Green
CO2 neutral shipping with DHL
We ship with DHL Go Green. Unfortunately, greenhouse gas emissions are created when we ship our favorite linens. With GOGREEN, we want to neutralize these emissions. The compensation takes place via internationally recognized climate protection projects. You can find more information about all climate protection projects on the Deutschen Post webside▶

EN 1149-5
Protective clothing for static electricity
EN 1149 tested protective clothing is to be used in environments and workplaces where there is the risk of explosion.
The clothing has antistatic properties, conducts electrical charges and thus prevents ignitable discharges and sparking, properties that are highly important in the electronics industry or in refineries, for example. During the test, the surface resistance, the electrical resistance of the material and the discharge are checked.
The clothing should be worn within a total grounded system. Clothing that complies with this standard always also complies with the standard for flame retardant clothing ISO 11612.

EN 13911
Protective clothing for firefighters
This seal includes the performance requirements and test methods for hoods to protect the head from fire as well as the neck from heat and flames.
The fire hoods are made of flame-retardant material. A wide variety of test methods are used to try out and prove the protective effect of the textile, including the seams. The EN 13911 standard is based on the ISO 11612 standard and therefore also fulfills these criteria additionally.

EN ISO 11612
Protective clothing against heat and flames
This seal is specifically designed for workwear exposed to brief contact with flames, convective and radiant heat.
This standard requires products to pass a variety of tests in regard to the fabric. For example, heat transfer when exposed to flame, radiant heat, waterproofness and water vapor permeability are put to the test.
In addition, protection against splashes from metal is measured. A large number of rules must also be observed in terms of seams, ingredients and pockets; for example, the inner lining must be just as flame-retardant as the outer material.
ISO standard 11612 is to be regarded as the basic standard for all other fire protection standards.

FAIRTRADE
Ecologically and socially fair
Fairtrade aims to reduce imbalances in global trade and awards textiles whose cotton has been grown in a socially fair and sustainable way.
The Fairtrade standard is based on three essential values: economy, ecology and social issues. With the certification, Comazo supports the Fairtrade organization and makes an important contribution in terms of improving working conditions in the countries where the cotton is produced.
Fairtrade certified farmers receive fair wages, a Fairtrade supplement and a premium for organic production. During cultivation, attention is paid to sustainability with regard to water, vegetation, fauna and soil. Compliance with the standards is regularly monitored.
The certification requires absolute transparency of the entire supply chain and all product components of Comazo. Every comazo|earth product can be traced back to its origins by means of its Fairtrade code. More info at www.fairtrade-deutschland.de

GOTS organic
Global Organic Textile Standard
Our GOTS certified products are marked separately on the product.
GOTS was developed by leading global textile associations as a seal of quality and identifies ecologically and socially responsible textiles made from natural fibers.
The GOTS seal is available in two different versions. The "organic" label is awarded to products with a cotton content of at least 95%.
The second GOTS seal with the indication "Made from organic" - on the other hand, stands for the certification of products that have a lower organic cotton content.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a globally recognized standard that sets the highest requirements for textiles to be evaluated as genuine and consistent natural textiles. For example, a GOTS-certified product must consist of at least 90% pure natural fibers and may contain a maximum of 10% synthetic fibers or viscose, which are in other cases used for seams, cuffs or labels. In addition, at least 70% of the natural fibers must come from plants or animals from controlled organic farming. There are also strict requirements for dyes, auxiliaries and finishing processes; among other things, these cannot contain any heavy metals. Ingredients, accessories and yarns must also generally be made from natural materials and can therefore only be used to a limited extent. More info about the GOTS certificate can be found on the official website.

Our products are partly tested and certified by IMO (until 30.06.2017) and partly by CERES (from 01.07.2017). The certificates differ in the respective test number under the GOTS logo. In addition, there is a gradation regarding the proportion of organic cotton. The label "organic" is awarded to products with a cotton content of at least 95%. "Made from organic" - on the other hand, stands for the certification of products that have a lower organic cotton content.

Hy-Tec
Test seal for hygiene products
The "Hy-Tec tested" seal is one of only two approved test seals for hygiene products.
In various tests, the essential properties of incontinence products are examined, namely the maximum absorption capacity, the absorption speed as well as the re-moisture of the product.
Proof of the product's quality through certification is required for the hygiene product to be approved as a medical aid. Furthermore, affected persons can trust in the recognized quality of the products and thus better differentiate the offers.

OEKO-TEX
Standard 100
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally recognized, independent testing and certification system for textiles tested for harmful substances.
The OEKO-Tex® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textiles tested for harmful substances, with the widest distribution worldwide. Products with this seal of approval are classified as harmless. Only if all the ingredients of the end product, including sewing threads, prints, decorative materials and labels, meet the required criteria, the garment will be certified according to OEKO-Tex® Standard 100. Compliance with the standard is checked annually. During testing, the more intensive the contact between the textile and the skin, the stricter the limits.
The textiles are tested for banned as well as restricted substances, substances that are suspected of being hazardous to health but are not yet covered by law, and precautionary parameters such as substances that trigger allergies. In addition, all products must have a skin-friendly pH value and good color fastness.

TÜV-ISO 9001
Quality management
The ISO 9001 standard is a guideline that defines quality management requirements to which companies can voluntarily commit.
The aim is to offer more customer-oriented products. In addition to customer orientation, other principles are taken into account: the quality of management, the involvement of company employees in decision-making, well-designed processes and workflows, professional supplier and customer relations, and fact-based decision-making.
Audits for our quality management take place annually. Comazo has been repeatedly awarded the ISO seal. Our certified quality management system shows that quality orientation determines our thoughts and actions in every sub-process and thus gives our customers a high level of security.
