The ISO 9001 standard is a guideline which companies can voluntarily choose to comply with. This Quality Management System provides a framework which assures products and services meet and satisfy the customer’s quality requirements and expectations as well as comply with all regulations applicable to those products and services.
In addition to its strong customer focus, other principles taken into account include: leadership, involvement of employees, process approach, mutually beneficial supplier relationships, factual approach to decision-making, continual improvement and system approach to management. The Standard specifies how individual organizational areas and processes thereof can be managed in order to create added value for customers.
