Chemical fiber

Man-made fibers are industrially produced fibers. A distinction is made between cellulosic man-made fibers such as viscose and modal and synthetic man-made fibers. These include polyester and polyamide, for example. The properties of man-made fibers can be controlled by their length, fineness and structure.
