Is Modal environmentally friendly?

Modal is made from cellulose obtained from wood, a renewable raw material. We source our modal and MicroModal® fibres from Lenzing, which uses beechwood pulp to produce them. In addition to the origin of the wood, the manufacturing process and subsequent processing into the finished garment are important factors in assessing the environmental impact.
