Synthetic fibers

Synthetic fibers are based on hydrocarbons, i.e. inorganic substances such as coal or crude oil, and are classified as man-made fibers. They are characterized by high elasticity and low water absorption capacity and are therefore quick-drying. Textiles made from synthetic fibers are also easy to care for and largely non-iron. They include polyamide, polyester and elastane, for example.
